That does help, thanks. Still will welcome opinions on the Bomber (previously fixed) jacket. Decisions, decisions

I've got the Fixed jacket. I like it a lot, but it has to be quite cold to wear it, i.e. less than 10 degrees, otherwise I get too hot.
Given I left my last soft-shell in New Zealand now the weather seems to have turned on us I need something new and warm and snuggly.
Also given I've got a nice wad of cash to spend (new job) I'm thinking Rapha. I know, its nice but it sure is expensive. But I always think spend more on a classic and piece and it should last you a long time. At the mo' I'm torn between their classic soft shell and Bomber jacket. Anyone got any insights? There's also the option of a lightweight soft shell in their bin ends.
other suggestions? I'm also thinking Howies
