I play regularly in a local pub league. Its great fun
-
• #3
havent played for a few months - the usual mongrels have dissipated. Sounds good
-
• #4
I don't play but I know someone who loves it and probably interested ;)
-
• #5
Cool beans.
Anyone with an idea of where we could play?
-
• #6
I'm also up for it. Surely we could just set up in a pub? As long as there's no cash on the table (Literally speaking!)
-
• #7
No cash? Ah, what's the fun in that :P
Besides, I can't play properly if no money is involved. -

There's a $300 Freeroll taking place this evening on Gutshot Poker. Play starts at 8pm this evening. There's no deposit needed but you can win real $$$. Just install Gutshot Poker from http://www.gutshotonline.com and fill in your name and address. Then register in the Tournament/Private tab using the password is facebook300 . Good luck!

epic dredge after utfs'ing
I'm playing $1 knockout games on pokerstars to pass time a bit after late shifts as rest of family asleep once I'm home. I put in about $25 to start my account back in July, and tend to break even over a week so no further deposit needed since.
Anyone on here play much 10yrs on?
Fwiw Pokerstars also has the option to create groups & play private games e.g. $5 buy in prizes split on numbers entered. Might be fun low stakes losing to forum folks rather than Russian bots.
Edit: even got a Royal Flush a few weeks back, once in a lifetime kind of hand I think.

I've been playing with friends every Saturday since lockdown started - £5 a game, 1000 chips. Sometimes play 3 games on an evening. It's good fun though most of us are terrible!
Play on poker now.club - it's free & we just sort the money out amongst ourselves afterwards. We have a zoom call going at the same time but the site has video function now too.

I joined in a few zoom hosted games with a group via a friend. It made the game more like a face 2 face game so aware folks were watching for tells. Tbh I prefer without zoom. Pokerstars did all the maths & money handling, and took a small cut for this.
I'll look to check out Poker Now as free games are interesting, I've found folks play much looser when there's nothing really at stake.

how can you do private games on pokernow club?
-

Man, some super dredging on this one. But I would love to play again, in real life only though, sometime.

Not poker, but blackjack.
How is this possible? Do they use more than one deck in Black jack?

4/6/8 decks is most common I believe - would be very plausible to memorize the deck otherwise

Casinos can have upto 8 decks in play, not sure it improves the game, probably to stop card counting, Rainman style..

I’d be up for Poker IRL, not played in yokes. Texas Hold ‘Em definitely the best format. I had a ton of chips too, ended up gifting them and the cards to the Colombian nephews when we played Go Fish, Ciao Bacalao, damn..

I've played Texas Hold'em with mates but I was too chicken to give it a go in Vegas. Even blackjack which is a lot easier for me was moving so fast I didn't want to be the chump slowing up the game so I just stuck to roulette and machines.

I played Hold em in three Vegas tournaments. Was about $50 entry, with unlimited rebuys before 11pm. The play was always really loose, as most players were retirees and didn't seem to care about losing early, they would just buy back in, which meant people kept staying into the end of each hand and winning with dross cards on the river. I was a skint stupid backpacker, with one tournament victory of £500 still fresh in my mind and ego, and should have kept my money for other things.
@almac68 I'm on for a game sometime. I have a pal who used to play a bit, he'd be game too I reckon. Nothing big though, like a tenner entry or so. Where are you living these days? I'm near Denmark Hill.

£10 buy in per player should be the limit
I’ll have to buy new cards and chips.
I can host, however I am in East Ham these days. -

An no I don't mean that stupid musical instrument. Polka.
