  • For those of you using non rechargeables, Wilkinsons are doing packs of 4 + 4 free Duracells AA and AAA for £2.99 a pack. No excuses for poor lighting at those prices. Oh, and take cycling lessons [/bikeradar]

  • Poundland - Woolwich - pack of 12 for the round figure of one English £ :)

    but go for the rechargables...

I've had loads of problems with 7 day shop own brand rechargables. I reported it to them and got no reply. The six packs of 4 AA batteries (total 24 batteries) and two packs of four AAA (8 total) all lose charge if left for a few days without use. I was using them for photography and it's a real hassle having to recharge that many (32 total) batteries all at once as close to a shoot as possible so they don't lose charge before you need them. So even though they seemed like a bargain price, they're fairly useless to me for their intended purpose.

They might be different now though as I'm fairly sure they're some other brand with a 7 day shop wrapper on.

Invest in good rechargables. I've had no problems with Uniross and Fuji branded ones.

  • I should have said go for some rechargeables...

  • which ones do you use?

  • Energizer rechargeable 2500 mAh AA's have never let me down, great as far as batteries go.

  • Got myself quite a lot of these.
    Uniross.

Seems to be quite good. Holds out well...
Haven't had any problems with them.

Charger is good. Can charge AA and AAA.
I've not got this same one though. Similar, minus the Car thingy.
