or they haven't much experience of riding, and they buy whatever the other uneducated masses buy then recommend them to others despite knowing little about what else is available.
I know you hate contis, and some of their quality control is shocking, but the sprinter tubs are grippy, and the 4 seasons, supersonic, attack/force and grand prix clinchers are decent. Gatorskins are shiteola though!
Still, what do you expect when people judge a tyre on how easily it skids instead of what it's actually designed for: riding or racing a bike properly.

Shut up, Rob... All tyres are shit...

Fucking Gatorskins.
I struggled to give a pair away. Good old Corny took 'em in the end though.

Vittoria Rubino Pro's because I know shit about tyres but these were fitted when I bought my bike and they seem to have zero rolling resistance and grip pretty good too.

slipperiest tyres i've ever tried. good though. considering voting for them. no hardcases? they is tuff.

I love a good tyre bust up (punnage).
I've got conti 4-seasons cos I came into this road cycling thing fairly cold. They seem fine, haven't blown up yet.
Obviously they only survive because I'm not riding hard or long enough.

I love my conti 4 seasons. I don't skid if I can help it, so that isn't an important factor in my choice. The 4 seasons feel like Michelin Pro Race 3 in their handling, grippiness and rolling resistance (low) whilst offering durability a lot closer to the armadillo all-condition s-works which I rode before and hated the handling of but loved the puncture protection.
Best of both worlds IMHO.

Good to know. I liked the bulletproofness of hardcases but I didn't like the way they felt, seemed to have alot of rolling resistance and were almost too grippy and sticky in some situations. I'm really digging the feel, speed and surprising puncture resistance of Rubinos but they are trecherously slippy in the wet. I need something sort of inbetweeny for winter so these threads are actually proving quite helpful.

That's funny coz I voted for Gatorskin coz these polls are dumb. :)

I went from conti 4 season to michelin pro race 3.
I agree with all of VB's points above, and for me the pro race do feel tad faster, but I didn't know that before I bought...
the red/grey just looked so much better for my bike.
I haz vanity

But I like the idea of having some irrational (ok, somewhat justified) hatreds of particular products. There's nothing like a good whinge and a coffee to start the day.
Besides, I'm still waiting for Vittoria to sponsor my Anti-Conti campaigning :)
