I completely agree and feel bad not voting for Cavendish, but I live in Brixton so they get the vote (and Jimbilly and Nhatt promised to buy me beer).

Cavendish, purely on the amount of times my arse has been saved whilst at work by them as well as lending me tools on a very regular basis, oh and I've never paid full whack for anything in there, and they always give me sound advice.

brixton, because they've been me local bike shop since I were a nipper, and now as an adult can actually get the benefit of it, and for the sign "no manners, no spanners" class in a glass. Trust!

Brixton is the best. I have never seen Cornelius in there though.

My vote went to Cavendish however (Brixton is too far from me) because I'm sure the forum would appreciate (more than me) the glass of wine they seem to have on standby at about 15mins to closing on a Friday night

Plus, I turned up one night after they'd shut, with no cash and they gave me an inner tube and told me to drop the money off whenever I was passing.

I've been in Holloway twice and the person behind the counter has been pretty condescending. Twice I've wanted to spend money there but felt put off by the attitude and decided against it.

Last time I went in I needed some advice on my girlfriend's bike. It's nothing special, it's a cheap bike. The rear wheel was binding and I wanted advice whether they thought it was the freewheel or the hub and the response I got was, "It's a bit of a shit hub so there's not much to say about it." Thanks, if I wanted an opinion on the quality of the hub I would have asked.

I went in there at bang on 6pm the other week, door still open and unlocked, they were inside drinking beer. I walked in "Sorry, we're closed"
