Hello from Bay Area / fixed gear in Brazil

Oi! Sorry i disapperead for so long... after being stuck in São Paulo for months, finally moved to sunny California!!

A few pics from some friends in São Paulo are riding fixed now - all conversions, with "suicide" hubs!
Met this crazy colombian guy who was riding a insanely high gear, can't remember exactly, but nearly positive it was 52x15 - brakeless, on a conversion, with a "suicide" hub!!

yup, was a proper california boy for a while.

I was reminiscing the other day with a friend from out there. I miss the Stanford Cardinals games, and the swimming in the sunshine almost every morning (not at home- I used to train at school, and at a club.

My favorite bike ride as a kid was through Stanford to here:

I miss it alot, but I was at an age that the bad things don't filter into the conciousness, so I only remember good things:
I once had my head shoved into a toilet bowl.
I got suspended for wailing on the same kid later that day, and apparently I was just standing there kicking him in the chest.
I also got suspended for kicking a teacher, and on 2 other occasions- though these are less memorable.

Whereabouts DocA? I'm heading back out there (I hope) soon.
I love the lack of seasons.
