ps - as I said before, we aren't connected to the excellent Fixed mag... we were working on the projects at the same time without knowing and by the time the mag came out our name had stuck.
And it's very different from the soon-to-be-531-Awesome forum book.

Just received my copies, great book, great to have the history and racing aspect alongside the recent street-stuff, recommended. Best publication in hard copy or electronic on the subject by miles.

Well done max/andy. I can't be there for the partay but congratulations, hope your book does well.
Some of you may have seen this already [REPOSTED BECAUSE OF SERVER FAIL], but me and andy have written a book about fixed-gear bikes that is being published this month, and we're having a launch for it on 12 November.
It's taking place at Resistance Gallery, 265 Poyser Street, Bethnal Green, E2 9RF, 6:30-10pm. It's tucked away under the arches about 100m north of the tube station, near Vyner St but on the opposite side of the road.
We'd love some forumengers to come along and help us celebrate. There'll be (some!) free booze, music by the London's famous Bright Times, secure bike parking and discounted books on sale.
You can check it out here: www.fixedgearbook.com. It's hopefully got something for everyone - history/TdeF/the hour/6-dayers/TT/street riding/design... keirin/messengers/tricks/polo/roller-racing... interviews with Chris Boardman, Graeme Obree, Koichi Nakano, Craig Maclean, Nelson Vails, Fast Eddie Williams, Squid, Mash SF, Macaframa, Antonio Colombo, Barry McGee, Ben Wilson, Paul Smith, and contributions from some London faces too! And a shit ton of pictures.
If you can't make it along but want to buy the book, then please check out the private thread - we'll be posting about donating a portion of the profits to LFGSS for every forum member that buys it.
Get in touch if you wanna know anything more... and the place isn't huge so let's have a list if you wanna come. Iff it looks like there's gonna be too many then we may have to have a guestlist or something... but I hope not!
Cheers
