Not summat I'd take, not a Londoner, but I'd shut down speed...... reporting is the best thing as these are logged.....too many 'reports' the driver will be pulled.....got to love ANPR......

Not a bad idea, take out a couple of windows and the fuckers lose maybe half a days work, plus they may even get pulled over :)

I got grief off some cunt in a fiesta last night because I dared to overtake some parked cars!
Oooooh what a terrible cyclist I am, choosing to overtake parked cars instead of ramming into them or stopping to let all the nice cars go by! I just smiled and waved, laughing at the cunt.Report the wanker mate, i'm sure a few other people have probably encountered this arsehole on the roads as well and need to report it........

Is it possible to overtake stationary vehicles? This kind of shit throws me into confusion for days.

If they are parked in the road then it still counts as overtaking don't it, or simply steering around them......oh fuck it you're getting me confused now!

Yes, but of course only if the vehicle is being operated. If it is merely parked somewhere and no-one is operating it, that doesn't count as overtaking.

In which case, the driver of the aforementioned Fiesta was obvioulsy reprimanding CrazyJames for fucking with semantics. He deserved it.

So if they were waiting in the car, but the engine was turned off, or turned on but not moving, would it still constitute overtaking.....?
-
• #19
As I said, if the car is being operated, it counts as overtaking, i.e. if someone reaches the end of a queue as you go past, or has just stopped at the kerbside. If the engine is turned off, of course it isn't overtaking.

Serk had a good thought on this- rather than getting shouty just make the "boo hoo hoo" hand gesture as of wiping away tears at the recalcitrant motorist.

I had a bit of a run in with a taxi this morning. I was turning into a side road, and he pulled out and clipped my back wheel. I stopped and he rolled down his window and proceded to shout at me. I asked him to calm down and pull over so I could get his details in case there was any damage, and he refused. I stood in front of his car and calmly took his registration while he continued to scream and swear at me, at one point he got out and I thought I was going to get punched, but fortunately he thought better of it. I've looked into reporting him, but the PCO don't deal with traffic offences, they need to be reported to the police, and since I haven't got any witnesses I think I'd be wasting my time. I might still go the PCO route and report him for refusing to give me his details and threatening behaviour.

is that for the taxi driver himself or his tyres ?
-
• #24
ahh didnt think about that, I suppose you could use it on the tyres

If you thought you were going to get punched, doesn't that constitute assault?
Book the fucker, just take him down a couple of pegs.
This guy didn't like me being in the right hand of two lanes going towards Notting Hill at Queensway. He decided to knock me into the left lane and when i took offence to that, he drove into my back wheel at the next junction. He then followed inches from my wheel until i managed to loose him in traffic just before the hill down to Holland Park.
No witnesses but as i have the number plate and licence number i will be reporting him. No damage (i think) to the rear wheel.
Utter cunt; he even had a passenger in the back.
