noob ebay etiquette question: if you put something up on a 10 day auction with no BIN and someone makes you an offer to end the auction early... can you? should you? what's the rules?
This happens to me on almost every auction. The guy asked you to name your price, right? I think they are basically trying to exploit sellers who don't know the value of what they are selling: if you ask a normal price, they'll fuck off. If you undersell your item, they'll take it.
Just my theory.

I made an offer via eBay PM on a CycleOps Fluid2, with riser block, tyre and bag.
I offered £150, plus £20 postage- which they turned down.
At the end of the auction it went for £142.

where's the question?

Just recording my own recent experience of making an offer on a running auction as there has been some discussion of it in recent posts.
I am sure that the seller thought that I had made a low offer, and therefore rejected it- and ended up with a fair amount less for their item than if they had accepted my offer.
Here's a question- why does RPM think I've bought the wrong drill?

Will climbing seated in a high gear give me better strength increases than standing up to pedal?

It is the way of things..

For seated climbing, probably.
For standing, probably not, maybe. Are you talking about which method will allow the most force to be transmitted?

Lighter guys tend to get out of the saddle, heavier guys remain seated but to each their own.
Test yourself. -

I mean which will make the muscle power in my legs increase more, I find standing up alot easier, but seated it's more of a struggle. (this is on fixed so same gear.)
Climbing seated feels a bit like doing leg presses, so I've been trying to stay seated as much as possible thinking I'm gaining... wondered if anyone could tell me if I'm wasting my time.

No, you are not wasting your time- keep at it and you will get stronger.
I find that climbing seated feels like the effort is in my thighs whilst out of the saddle is more calves.

I spend virtually all my time out of the saddle these day. Not sure why. I'm pretty sure I haven't shrunk. I think it's made me slower as a result.

Been snowed under for much of this week and have completely forgotten that I'm supposed to be interviewing people tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday.
Also I have completely forgotten what interview technique is. Any good free places to get some generic questions I can tailor to suit?

Repost for new page ....
Does anyone know what pedal thread TAs with this stamped on them might take (assuming E4 or BSC mean something to do with cranks). When I saw BSC I assumed that meant British threads, but it seems not. Now I'm thinking they must be French... can anyone confirm? Has anyone got some french pedals I can try fitting?
From that pic of DW, he's too busy eating.
