Aw man, if only I could afford/justify another bike...
Why have you decided to sell it? -
• #12
Not the greatest pics I know... what with a fisheye and all but being at work this is all I have at my disposal. For those who asked about pics with wheels in I will get these up tonight. Provided it is still for sale!

For sale here is my beloved Reynolds 531 Raleigh Team Pro track frame.
Seat tube: 57cm ctr to top
Top tube: 56cm ctr to ctr
Takes a 27.2 Seatpost
Standard 'British' BB shell
Built by the raleigh 'special products' division in Ilkeston in late 1976 this has an SB serial number of 969.
Condition I would say was OK as there are a few 'blemishes' to the paint most notably on the top side if the top tube and around the seat cluster and bottom bracket. I am not entirely sure what these blemishes are but I did manage to get some of it off a while back using WD40, a green scourer and a gentle touch.
The rest of the frame as you can see from the pics looks good and once built up it looks the business.
Condition of chrome on the rear triangle is good and I had the fork re-chromed approx 4 months ago so is almost flawless.
Frame and forks are both unfortunately drilled ( not by me I promise! ) but this does not in my opinion detract from the sheer greatness of what these frames are and how they ride.
Clearances on the rear are tight, space for 23s or 25s at a push. Clearances on the fork are a little less tight but this is the original fork so it is how they intended... with a 23c tyre in them they have approx 10mm of space between the base of the crown and the edge of the tyre.
Comes complete with it's original Campagnolo Pista loose bearing BB ( according to velobase this has a Ti spindle ) and a Campagnolo Pista headset.
I am not in London but am happy to ship at cost or potentially arrange a meeting.
Viewings most welcome too but as I said - I am not down that London.
Anyone interested this is a chance to grab yourself a piece of british cycling history...
sold pending payment
Please PM me with your offers questions etc and I will endeavour to get back to as soon as I can.
Thank you.
