The Lfgss admin emailed me to suggest an Espresso Ride
That makes it sound like I approached you, rather than me just suggesting in response to an email from you that you consider doing something related to what you're doing.
'Tis a good idea though, coffee and cycling go hand in hand.

I haven't had a decent coffee in ages, so I'd definitely be up for sampling coffees from the best coffee shops in London.

That makes it sound like I approached you,............blah..............blah.............e and cycling go hand in hand.
i must say it did read like it was a sales/promotional pitch that had been sanctioned from above.
tut, tut, tutt :-)you should mention it in the coffee thread also.
sorry if i missed something.

Oops, sorry Velocio. I guess I'm trying to get something started here, I didn't wish to present you as anything other than the inspiration for the ride.
I'm not trying to make a sales pitch here, just get riding.. -

Not an issue. There are many ride organisers, I am just not one of them :)

Superb, another bike shop-cum-café. Good luck to you, Lawrence!
I really hope this business model catches on.
Sadly, I can't make the ride, as I'll be away, but I'll be sure to poke my nose round the door sometime soon!

bugger, i'll be in ireland at a wedding that weekend otherwise i'd be all about this
Hi Everyone,
My name is Lawrence, and I’ve recently opened a café/cycle shop in the City of London, (Fullcity, 72 Leather Lane, E1). We set up to service the couriers and cyclists of London, and also to sponsor a number of rides starting in the city where we can caffeinate and pander to the sugar needs of wheelmen and women ready to ride.
The Lfgss admin emailed me to suggest an Espresso Ride on the 7th November from Leather Lane to the four (other) best coffee shops in town. Monmouth in Southwark Market, Flat White in Berwick Market and maybe Troubadour in the Brompton Road if any riders fancy a further leg warmer.
There will be stickers, spoke cards and T-shirt prizes for the most pretentious bike/inappropriately dressed for the temperature etc.
Then, we could go find a firework display, or am I being too much of a kid?
So, anyone up?
