Wanted: 60cm+ frame & fork

Posted on
  • Looking for a large frame & fork for a new fixed project.
Don't really want to spend more than £120.
Track mounts preferred but not necessary.

In a decent condition, don't want to need to respray etc.
Let me know what you have with pics if possible.

    I'm in Newcastle/Leeds so it'll need to be posted/delivered.

  • Why not get the whole thing ??

I have what I believe is a raleigh professional, def 531c with the paint nearly all stripped off, '83 I think , nice fastback stays, looks like the team replica on here

The guy I bought it off was sold it as a raleigh pro but it has gipiemme not campag ends so not too sure. Forks have the sloping shoulders as in the raleigh of 83 and 84. The shifter brazeons have been filed off as you can see but the rear mech fittings etc are still in place. Very minor dent in the downtube. Looking for 70 quid, I have a box so could post but not sure of prices etc as I haven't done it before. I could also get it powdercoated for 30 quid here in brum if you wanted so you could have it in whatever colour they have that you like. pretty sure it's 62cm ctt but can't find my tape measure right now.

  • i've got a dawes, not sure what size but its an old dawes lightning

Can you find out the size and a pic if you can and then post back here. Cheers

  • I have this frame and fork that i'm considering selling. Paint is still in really good nick, with only a few minor chips. The seat-stays were reset from 130mm, to 120mm, and i think that one side is ever so slightly off, as the bike always seemed to lean very slightly. It's a great frame though, really really light, 531, nice lugs (more pics on my profile), and i think the dropouts are campag... Let me know if you're interested.

    (img won't work)

still not certain on the size, i'm just not sure how to measure it. i wear a 32" leg jean and it rubs when i stand over. (trying to sound as dignified as possible). will come with Sakae Road Champion drop bars and a quill stem.
