Freecycle: Two frames, stems, seatpost

2 frames with some work to do on them. Also a couple of bits - these may not be the last of the stuff I'm clearing out but I'll start another thread if I find any more.

Frame 1: Raleigh Gran Sport, c. 1982, 531c tubing, 23inches. This was second in the Raleigh range as far as I remember, beautiful bike built up with all Campagnolo Gran Sport. The drive side stay got damaged after a fall, resulting in paint scratching and the loss of the dropout. A damn shame, but easily rectifiable with someone local who does this (dropout is Vitus) - should be around the £30 mark. The rest of the frame is fine and even lovely, though the chroming on the forks is a bit scrappy. But this would be a great frame to get back up and running, it just had a bit of bad luck and would be a damn shame to have to trash it.Includes ropey headset. **FREE **

Frame 2: unknown Raleigh frame, 23inches aka "The Clapham Slapper", certainly 531 or better as 27.0 seat tube, last year this took me to Cambridge with lfgss and took me all over London until one night the seat post binder bolt barrel snapped as I hit a pot hole.. I filed it down ready for repair as I loved riding it but since then the frame has been in a cupboard waiting - and now I have to admit I just haven't got the time or space anymore. Includes BB. FREE

Bits: custom stem, painted blue for some ungodly reason, with bolt, all present and correct, easy job stripping paint off, 100mm FREE

some other stem someone saw fit to paint blue, nice and interesting little curio but no bolts, 70mm,** FREE **

itm stem, handlebar tightener bolt but no bottom section or top bolt, 90mm FREE

3ttt seatpost, beautiful old school style, fluted, think it's 27.2, insertion marks galore FREE

okay it's a clean fight so far - guys, I'll honour the dibs I got through pm and on thread at the moment but please do make it asap or the times you said as other people are interested - if things get delayed and others are waiting I'll let them know. If no-one else is waiting then we'll sort another time out but in any case I'd like to wave a tearful goodbye to these by Wednesday night...

amazingly no-one has taken the bottle cage holder yet so exciting times ahead still for one lucky dibber..

Dammit, this is the second thing i've wanted 2nd dibs on today... I really want the blue stem with no bolts etc, so if it isn't taken, or if MUS isn't bothered about it, let me know. Cheers

oh yeah and if that seat post and one of the stems which havn't been claimed fit the gransport ill take them too if i get it

oh how can that drop out problem be solved ??

at the moment everything has gone pending pick up..

the drop out needs to be replaced with a new one, it's a welding job.
