  • have you guys heard the patrick cowley edit of I feel love?

  • needs some eno this prog

  • I've got a Danny Howells mix..

  • Green Velvet La La Land + I feel Love mashup

  • Umek remix.. wtf..

  • Oh wait.. Depeche Mode - I feel loved.. ?

  • Nice. Don't have this though.

  • shit, i was watching rude tube on 4....

  • Me too.

    Sky+ ftw!

  • ... and now led to YouTube - Top 50 Most Watched Videos On Youtube!
    .
    *(0:18 ouch!)

  • That show was brilliant.

I now realise there will be a load of synth appearing at RPM this Saturday.

  • Hmm..

tis on here for a couple of days, as well as the Synth live thing that's also part of the programming.

(* that's the low bandwidth version that my mac can cope with, scroll down for the normal bandwidth version. Must dig out my The Normal records.

  • Good prog but not enough synths and some questionable history. Also, they mentioned Joy Division's early conversion, then chose to feature Atmosphere, which is arguably not as important as She's Lost Control....

Loved the footage of the ARP drools

  • I wanted to watch this last night, but my girlfriends TV had shit reception.

    Was it good?

Could this thread evolve into some uber geek synthy chat?

    I'd like that.

  • To give you an idea... the tracklist for the Chartshow style program on it was this:

    • Roxy Music - Do The Strand
    • Tubeway Army - Are Friends Electric
    • Sparks - Beat The Clock
    • Human League - The Path of Least Resistance
    • O.M.D. - Messages
    • Ultravox - Vienna
    • Depeche Mode - New Life
    • New Order - Temptation
    • Japan - Ain't That Peculiar
    • Yazoo - Don't Go
    • Tears for Fears - Mad World
    • Eurythmics - Love Is A Stranger
    • Heaven 17 - Temptation
    • Howard Jones - What Is Love?
    • Pet Shop Boys - Opportunity

    Definitely more towards synthpop.

  • I'm watching it now. I don't know any of the history anyway but Donna Summers - I Feel Love is one of the all-time greats and it was featured, so, err, sweet yeah. Not in VB's list tho?
O.M.D... I have a remix of Enola Gay somewhere.
Depeche Mode have been remixed '000s of times.. Luke Slater plays 'em a lot like that Idiotech album from whatsisface.
New Order - Confusion from Blade soundtrack. Mmm..
I haz Kraftwerk Autobahn in Oz.
I'd love some of the old synths but I still prefer the modern stuff.

Mal loves Enola Gay.. I have a remix of that somewhere.

Donna Summer's American, i think he's listed the british musical entries (can't watch the programme, i'm in work)

cursory wiki check of the bands i don't recognise says 'yes' to my hypothesis.

as a side note, donna summers track is fantastic.
