  • any opinions on this ?:

Super nice Orbit 531 low profile road / pursuit bike. Beautifull handbuilt bike from the early to mid 90s. A few chips but looks sick in the purple fade paint. Loads of upgrades and a new components to make the perfect fast city bike...

Reynolds 531 Competition tubing - fillet brazed and lugged.

Size 56cm c-c / 58 c-t - difficult to size this bike but should suit from 5'9 to 6'2 approx

    Kenesis Carbon forks (...not cheap).

    Campagnolo Chainset (42-16). New freewheel.

Rare deep rimmed Mavic CXPs. Front CXP 14 - 650c Michelin Pro Race. Clincher. Rear CXP 30 - 700c. Axial Pro. Clincher. Campag and Mavic hubs. Serious wheels. Brillinant condition.

Tektro Brake callipers. New Acor Levers. New Grips. Commencal risers. New cables/pads etc.

Rare vintage DEDA 3 bolt stem - bars can be removed or swapped out without stripping - like an ahead.

San Marco Rolls saddle - tried and tested classic! Ritchey seatpost.

  • are you selling it?

  • are you buying it?

  • If you're selling it, it's in the wrong section. If it's your current project then stick it in that thread rather than starting your own.

  • No.

EDIT; In answer to all the questions above

  • my bad, not really accustomed to the etiquettes of this board, so not sure where i should have posted this. i'm thinking of buying it..

  • Its a bargain!

  • How much is he asking?

  • Nice frame, with pretty average parts.

Its all relative I suppose, but I'd say as carbon forks go Kinesis are infact cheap. I'd use that as a marker for rest of the description, personally. Quite like the wheels though.

  • Pay no more than 99p.

  • No....Luke...It's a trap!

  • They've got Han!

  • Buy it, shine the metallic parts with the cuff of your jumper, and sell it to Balki for a tidy profit.

  • Hi,
I am interested in this fixie lo pro.
I hear that riding these decreases your senility quotient, whilst maximising favourable package showing to the laydeez.

    Can I buy it please?
I have a mink coat to trade, or my son's (a future olympic hopeful) rear aerospoke.
    many thanks.

  • i'm thinking of buying it..

I guess the correct question is "what do I think of this lo-pro?"

  • PinkPanther, where is it advertised? In addition, a price would enable us to gazump you... I mean assess its value.

  • gumtree

  • bumflea

  • haha.. jokers.. around 390 - too much?

  • £405

    I wouldn't.

  • yeh, hippy your right, but i think there may be some discussion on it. why the hate?

  • Pay no more than 99p.

But the frame is "super nice".

Seriously though. I would have thought the frame was worth something (OK not loads), and the wheels seem OK. Not impressed by the rest though.

  • £390 would be fair if it didnehave that massive dent on the top tube

  • Is he running it fixed? Im guessing by the rear brake its SS. Them rear dropouts look like the downy pointy ones which are not ideal for fixed... a bit tough to see in the image.

NB: I know little of bicycles.

  • yeh, hippy your right, but i think there may be some discussion on it. why the hate?

    Hate?

I simple stated I wouldn't pay £405 for the bike.

    That's what you asked for.
