Sounds like you made yourself useful. Hope he is back on his bike soon, if not and his bike is OK......what size is it? I take a 58 / 60.

I use that junction every morning, doesn't normally seem that bad but I think drivers get frustrated at that light, Atantic Road's a bit of a rat-run for drivers wanting to avoid the mayhem on Brixton road... They all drive like cunts 'round there... Hope the rider's OK, who's got a green Bob Jackson 'round there?

He's a local lad, I had a quick look at the bike I only saw one brake, Green Jackson with blue tape on the bars, possibly a fixed, looked in good nick (Clean)
I've got the blokes name but its probably best not to post.

Trying to remember who in the newspaper industry once suggested combining the obituary page with the property page eg "Richard Maddeley died today, leaving a wife, two children... and a spacious four-bedroom house in leafy Cheadle Hulme with west-facing garden".

Ouch.. bloody impatient drivers!

This is the guy I saw on the gurney at 8.30am on the pavement after the junction with Ferndale rd, the Bob was lent in the cycle rack.

Good work, ruskibeats. It's so important that someone sympathetic and who knows what to do is on the scene. Also good to hear that we have two threads and what seemed like two incidents was really just one. Best wishes for the healing if you're on here!
-
• #16
Can we combine threads? This probably isn't the question Velocio wanted to hear...

So was it Ferndale Road or Brixton Road / Atlantic Road?
I had another close encounter this morning with a silver company car which decided to race through the red lights (going south) across the T Junction. It certainly wasn't an 'accelerate to get through amber' moment. If it hadn't been for the bloke driving next to me, I could have been right in his path.
There's more traffic lights on that strip now, which just seem to annoy any drivers coming down Stockwell Park Walk (by BC) along Brixton Road.
I've also just watched 7 cars jump the lights outside my office on Stockwell Park Walk in five minutes.
Company car driver blamed it all on us, despite us being able to the traffic lights for him were on red.

Alright lads. That was/is me.
ruskibeats, if your actual name is russell your a total legend and thanks for the email.
A couple of people properly helped me out at the scene but this guy goes and sorts out witness details for me. Awesome work.Anyway. Weekend in the lovely st thomas hospital. Major knee surgery. Crutches for 2 weeks. No track until next year. No footy for a couple of months. Sounds like the bob (green 54cm fixed) is fricked. Feeling lucky though, if I hadn't been wearing a helmet. Well...

Yep that was me with the email, glad to hear all is well and your on the mend. If I'd known you were that lucky I would have grabbed a lock of your hair before leaving you with the police...................
P.S - Was that really was your kneecap I could see under that very large flap of skin?????

Only just seen this. Hope you are mending quickly and fully. Real shame about your beautiful Bob Jackson. Fulham will just have to do without you for a while.
Take care and good luck with a claim from the driver.

Good work geting and giving details, I have been through this all to often on my PTW but so far have been lucky on my treder....I hope it stays that way.
I was first on scene for rider down this morning, Brixton road on the junction of Atlantic Road. Rider pin balled from behind by a car into on coming traffic (White Van) Rider fine accept massive gash on knee with a big flap of skin (I could see the knee cap).
I've taken Driver details and Witness details. Police and Ambulance on scene within minutes.
Bike, a cracking Green Bob Jackson, looked ok, but I suspect is fucked.
All in all, rider is good, shook up, but in my opion for what its worth, VERY lucky to walk away from that.
Heal up fella.
