Got my pre-surgical appointment on the 21st for implants, which I imagine is just a session with a ruler and a bit of paper, then back in for them to nail the Titanium pegs in.

I'm not looking forward to that, but half think that it cannot be any worse than when they had to dig the roots of the two teeth that got snapped off out of my jaw.

I still get odd fragments of bone working there way to the surface which I then remove with tweasers.

I've heard this. my gf just returned from her study abroad year in ukraine and says she couldn't beleive how good the dental stuff was.

I had two wisdom teeth out, and in the night that followed, the stitches came undone. I woke up with a mouth full of blood and decided to go to casualty. When I got to casualty they said that if they gave me a local anesthetic I would bleed it straight out again. So they stitched my gums with no anesthetic.

Anyone want to tell me to HTFU?

Had roughly the same sort of thing after a crash when I was 18- 20 or so stitches in my face with no anaesthetic because it poured out as fast as it went in.

Nope- upper lip is pretty much the most sensitive area of the body, easily outsripping gums in terms of nerve density.

Also when they break the needle (twice) in your lip you know about it.
