would suit what size person?
any good for riding up mountains?
-
• #6
I'm 5'11" and it fits me perfectly. You could be a bit shorter or taller and still fit it ok.
This bike would be ideal for riding up mountains, so long as the mountains have roads.Photos arriving imminently

Alpe d'huez = Great idea.

Compromise; don't sell and go ride up big winding fuckers
-
• #13
Man I'd love to do big winders on it, except I would be wishing I was on a steel bike.
-
• #14
nah, you'd be happy for the alu on the way up. The way down may be another matter.

Ok ok ok. But seriously, that bike is lovely! If anyone's in the market I don't think you're gonna do any better at that price.

I am in the market, but have no idea what I'm looking at/for. Treat me gently.
The main thing is that it looks pretty sweet, which is what makes me go faster...Couple of silly questions:
Why only 2 chainrings? Will I not need a further 3rd smaller chain set for the steepest part (14%)?
If the bike is 5 ish years old, how much life is left in the components? (From my limited knowledge they look quite a good spec, but how long are they expected to last/how much use have they had?)

2 is enough. There's no point buying a new chainset when you can just buy a bigger cassette.

Like Pifko says, if you want a granny gear, which you probably won't need you are best off buying a new cassette. A whole new campag chorus chainset would set you back a few hundred.
There's tons of life left in all the components. The only thing I would consider changing any time soon would be the chain or the cables, and they are both fine at the moment anyway. The groupset is a pretty high spec, which if you were to buy new now you would be looking at around £700

Just to let people know I'm gonna leave this on here for about a week or so. Then to ebay it will go.

I'm sadly selling my Condor road bike that I bought from ebay a month or so ago.
It's got a full campag chorus groupset, campagnolo vento wheels and a flite saddle. Tubing is Dedacciai and the forks and stays are carbon. The seatpost is also carbon. The paintwork is great and is something that I've never seen before, It's kind of rubbery and grippy. The bars are Cinelli Solidas
The guy I bought it off said that it was approximately five years old. I think that this is a baracchi but I couldn't be sure, if anyone has got a better idea then let me know.
I bought this with the intention of keeping it for a long time, but I also bought it having not ridden an aluminium or carbon bike before, which is why I'm selling it now. I'm only gonna be happy on a steel bike and also a bike which isn't as nice as this, I feel far too precious over it.
I'll add some pictures later today, but I can say that the bike is in great condition, no dents or dings, only a couple of tiny scratches but they aren't really noticeable. I've put in about 300 miles on it and never had a problem, not even a puncture.
Seat tube is 56cm c/t, Top tube is 54 c/c.
I'm gonna be putting this on ebay if nobody wants it on here. On ebay I'm gonna put it up for £700 buy it now so on here you can have it for £650.
If you have any questions then don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers,
Angus
*edit: Just got off the phone to Condor and they confirmed that it is a Baracchi, which means that new, this would have been around £2000. The current Condor Baracchi with a chorus groupset costs £2499.99. *
