The saddle rails may not be sitting properly in the seatpost clamp, i.e. either too far forward or too far back, so the clamp is holding the curved part of the rails.

Remove saddle, clean, replace, tighten correctly.
It could also be loose where the rails meet the saddle itself. This is a bit trickier to fix.. see if there's any dirt that can be removed first. Then try wedging stuff in to stop any movemnt (if possible).

max: it isn't! it's maybe 1 inch from where the curve starts
hippy: I think that's it...I think the front is the problem, where the rails almost touch. I don't really want to unglue the leather to check if something is broken, I'll just insert a slice of a wine cork between the rails and above the rails at the front and see how it goes...
thanks! I'll post my results for future reference

amazing how often this solves squeaks and creaks
-

I don't keep typing it for nothing..
Okay, maybe I do. But if it was falling on deaf ears people wouldn't be complaining about hearing squeaks. Geddit? Oh nevermind.

A turbocharged saddle is usually louder.
-
• #8
It's the turbo spooling up and the blow-off valves doing their thang..
-
• #9
It squeaks even with the turbo turned off!

Possibly a sticky injector. What octane fuel are you running? Have you tried any injector cleaner? If not I'd recommend using 98+ and every 4 months running some STP injector cleaner through the system.
-
• #11
have you tried turning it off and on again?
-
• #12
hippy: I can't keep up with that one
asm: yes I did. I turned it off, rebooted with a rolls until I can get the turbo updated.

my turbo saddle squeaks like crazy at every pedal stroke...
Are you sure you are treating it right?
-
• #14
^the best I can...dinner + drinks + massage and it still squeaks..I could use some lube but I'm affraid I might slip out and hurt my nuts somewhere
-
• #15
Sometimes it can be a saddle itself (Turbo is well made, though) - when a railing rubs against the plastic. I'd expect my Bucket to squeak soon.
-
• #16
I don't have it with me right now, but it makes sense! I know the squeaking comes from the front, and it could be it! I'll try to sort it out later or tomorrow and post here
the turbo is one comfy couch to ride on.

^ride on or ride in? I never understood that very well...
-
• #18
I'd go with 'in'.
-
• #19
not sure?

What you want to do is get rid of the rice burner and drop a proper donk in your VL.
V8. Big zorse. Fully sick as. -

There is a mouse hiding under your saddle. tempt him out with some chocolate then tell him to keep the noise down.

oil your saddle ( well the underside at least and all the connecty bits ) that should stop the squeaking
-
• #24
it has already stoped, with some cork between the rails and the saddle itself! ;)

Congratulations for making the 1 millionth post on the forum :)
is it normal? my turbo saddle squeaks like crazy at every pedal stroke...is this normal and 'treatable'? or it's just mine that is broken? I bought it NOS and have been using it for maybe 6 months
