weaselyone - any forums drinks really (encouraging people to meet each other) and in and around central London. For the frame and wheels, it would be East London, Hackney way.

sorry for the shimano cranks what size BB do they need?

I'll take the 3ttt stuff off your hands Phil, if no-one else expresses an interest. Call it 2nd dibs.
Sounds a bit strange I know. Its just that I have the same set on my Mercian, I love them and would happily have the same set on another bike, but I'd hate to deprive someone who needed a bargainous deal of having them ... Let me know if you don't shift em, in other words.

This at the Science Museum? Might be down with a few people later but regardless, gonna have to say no to the frame sadly - there's still some hope of getting this cycle-to-work lark sorted out here within the couple of weeks and I'm shit out of cash at the moment :(

I confirm Sugino and Cinelle 40cm .cheers
Thread two of a three-part clear out. Starting with
1) Claud Butler frame, guessing late 60s/early 70s. Gorgeous cherry red metallic, Reynolds 531 tubing. Frame information:
Seat tube C-T : 23 1/2"
Top tube C-C : 23 1/2"
Rear spacing: 120mm
Seat tube diameter: 26.4mm
Horizontal dropouts
Going on clearances the frame takes 27" wheels.
I think this could be the basis of a really nice vintage build - the paintwork is rich and lovely; it has the old "holdsworthy" sticker on it (Claud Butler was purchased as a brand by Holdsworth in the late 50s due to its esteemed name after going into receivership - Holdworth kept the brand mostly for tourers) and I am including a 26.4mm sr seatpost, the headset it came with and a sugino bottom bracket.
At some point in its life the paintwork has been scored through several times along the top tube - I can only imagine someone was a bit slapdash taking packaging off some time. Anyway, while it isn't ignorable, and ultimately needs to be touched up, the glorious paintjob which survives on the rest of the frame is in remarkable condition for its age.
It's a lovely frame and ultimately I've no idea how the top tube blemishing affects pricing really.. but I'm going to ask for £85 for the frame+forks, headset, bb and seat post as I think it's got everything to be a wonderful vintage build or even a very nice first fixed conversion, but if you are apoplectic with rage at such a price please do make me an offer.** SOLD**
