Downloading Aliens: Colonial Marines (75% off on Steam today). Preparing for more disappointment.

@CYOA.. Been playing Colonial marines on PS3 and the online bit is actually pretty fun, That is if you can stand the lag, chop, and hosting issues..

watching that metal gear solid video made me want to go and play metal gear again...
got some time off next week, it'll be that, red dead redemption and madden...

I'm holding out in hope that Alien Isolation will be a horror show for all the right reasons.

I gave Spintires a go last night, it was actually pretty entertaining in a very calming way. The physics they have built in the game is pretty incredible.

Looking forward to Spintires coming up in the Steam sale, can't wait to give it a go. Also, I've played a fair bit of KSP, one of my favourite games of all time, but it's not a game that will have universal appeal.

Playing on a friendly server, spend 3 sessions hunting out the small airforce base... backpack full of food, good axe taking zombies out in one hit, finally find the base and someone opens fire before I even see them with what sounds like an m4. They don't even get a hit in but I ran, hid in a bush, and got the hell off that server... I'm even wearing a UN blue lid FFS... If anyones about today and fancies hitting the small airfield let me know...

hmm I might have to give day z a go with you guys one day.

So xbox one as I thought is fantastic. BF4 is good, really, really good.

Played forza over the weekend too , quite fun racing against real people. Soul your driveavatar is a much better driver than me!

Unfortunately I don't think there is such a thing as a friendly server, just the occasional friendly player. I might be around later. Which airfield do you mean?

GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!?

Actually quite fun... long story short. Met random, friendly, went on the kit hunt, got killed in a hail of bullets, spawned, met zombie, died, re spawned, near original place, headed over found first players pal who was incoming first time round, joined up, other player got back to us, set off for airbase, empty, jumped server a few times, got killed. the other guys were good though and helpful, just not careful.
It was the airbase we got killed heading to... so gutted about the first ambush... so much good stuff... might be on again later too... will keep eyes peeled.

Urrg, twice today i've been 1st or 2nd story floors and just died, the second time it say i'd broken my legs, so I think it glitched me outside the wall

Ok, another Day Z story, I'm sorry...
I've made a "friend" on there, and we finally managed to meet back up after a couple of sessions of "I'm heading your way... 10k off now...". On route I meet another random who is a rare decent player who doesn't kill on site, we exchange a few friendly words and head our separate ways, I'm half expecting him to snipe me as I walk away but his word is good...
The lad I have been trying to re meet up with is a fair bit better than me and he turns up with a spare decent rifle and plenty of kit. We set out a plan and swap a few bits and set out down a flight of stairs when all of a sudden another player comes through a door way, sees us and pulls a gun. No way to tell if he was going to use it or not but we both had our guns out (Magnum and fully equipped M4 like) so not sure what he really planned to do... my new friend gunned him down in a second and we looted his body, loads of ammo and good kit, we are now both pretty tooled up.
We head out toward town and have plenty of zombies on us, I've got good at killing them with one hit with a farming hoe but we shoot a lot of them. It feels like we've got to a good place kit wise, for now, until we die, or get killed... but I'm enjoying the game more now, I think they have increased loot spewing and now I've adjusted my settings the game runs smooth and melee combat is actually possible.
Still kinda wishing for a bit of a goal now, because we could prob safely sit in a woods for around a week now with our kit and food...

Didn't really like the look of X-Com but have picked up Xenonauts and am absolutely loving it.
