:D Thanks ... would have helped...
What I think is kinda amazing is that the abilities of that kit that he has on version 1 of his bicycle can probably be put on a smart phone + and some accessories.

I watched both videos. So mad and interesting.

Yeah, I think most of it has already been done. It would be interesting to see what he is up to/riding on now.
What I couldn't quite understand is why he needed so many devices just to operate the bicycle, aside from all the other stuff he was doing. I couldn't quite see the point of the electronic gear shifting, for example. But I guess he is a hacker having fun so hardly needs a reason.

I remember seeing this guy on Tomorrow's World when I was a kid. Legend.

I came across this when I was writing a feature on solar panels and renewable energy. Lucas is right - I had a similar setup with my phone and a little wind-charger. He is clearly a very mad, very clever and very determined guy. I'd love to meet him. I wonder if he still has the bike?!

I think he would be a fasinating person to talk to ... he has not only a understanding of technology not only low level but also high level, with that he has lived a life on "the road" and thus has a unique prospective.
This is quite interesting ... I beleive he was in the U.K. at some point.

He now sails around the world on a yacht, which he has teched up. Video is pretty nerdy, but the bloke types in binary on his mobile workstation using buttons mounted in the handlebar grips.
