Pics added :)
And yeah only had it 5 minutes, its fecking awesome to ride, but to be honest when the bearings went I decided I was too lazy to replace them since my other 24 inch will be ready in a week, and I want another fixed, so selling this can help me fund that.
I think I will settle down once I have a fixed and a bike for abuse ;) -

Although I wouldn't mind a proper off road mtb for jumping about on as well ;)

Oh I just remembered, in addition to the above parts I added a super bling Gold KMC track chain that cost me about £40 something quid DevilSL101x chain or something like that, buttery smooth and beefy as fuck!

aah man, this looked like mega fun. I have your ex cutter built up now, so fun! still need to swap some parts over though…
-
• #7
You got it built up already?
Haha I kinda miss that bike, I did love it, but i'm getting more sensible these days, my new fixed will be more for transport and i'll let the 24 inch take a beating instead......Ok i'm not getting any more sensible, just my bike selection is :p -

Would love something like this but no money.

i think you'll get the price you're after but a bmx racers forum maybe? mtb dirt jump forum?
have u replaced the bearings? or are they still ceramic bearings? ceramic bearings in press fit bb's is a not a good move, regular bearings do the job just fine...

Cheers for the advice, its up on another forum as well, they are still ceramic bearings but they are starting to go, need replacing...if you read the whole initial post you can see I state that quite clearly.
Its not a press-fit BB the majority of race bmxes do not use press fit BBs, I would advise anyone replacing the BB to do so with something like a Profile Euro kit, probably a lot more durable and I doubt you'll notice much difference in performance. -

yeah, Ive borrowed a load of bits of my other bike, actually couldnt wait! it looks a lot different now… I'll get a picture up of it soon. whats your other 24"? Im tempted by this bike but really really shouldnt!

My other 24 inch is the complete opposite of this, a heavily beefed up bmx-type street mtb, brakeless with a freecoaster, gonna put some pics up for that on current projects tonight.
This thing is a speed-machine, and extremely cheap for what it is, you know want it Toby Gw'an....;)

Those cranks look like they're the cheap hex axle ones you get with complete BMXes (haro cruisers??). Sorry if I'm wrong.

Just been riding it around normally, no tricks or anything, the nearest thing it has had to abuse has been a bunnyhop over a bit of pavement, and then one afternoon I was riding back from Oval, and I got a click click click...crunch, bearings gone, and once ceramics go they go, its not a gradual thing like with normal steel bearings.
I'm a bit annoyed to be honest, but such is life. -

Sorry yes you are right, its a square taper BB I think, i'll double check later.

pending payment :)
Awesome bike, incredible spec, but I miss having a fixed gear, and since my other 24 inch is about a week away from being finished I can now see this machine hardly getting any use once its built as it would be a crying shame to abuse such a lovely bike.
Paid £300 from Velocity boy for this, the Bottom Bracket bearings just died a few days ago annoyingly, has not been abused or ridden in anger since in my ownership, only ridden as transport etc.
Have only owned it for a couple of weeks, I really like this bike, but I miss having a fixed and now my other 24 inch is almost done I just don't think this bike will get the life that it deserves!
Taking into account a new BB from Profile etc costs around £30-40.
I'm only going to ask for £220 for this, collection from Shoreditch or SE1
It's RPM's old one:
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread750.html#post20279
As RPM said back then:
Quote:
The wheels are the big bomb, profile hubs innit.
Profile 39 tooth chainring.
S&M racing lock-on grips.
DMR seatpost.
Tioga comp 3 tyres.
I've since upgraded a few bits, now includes DMR pedals, ceramic bearings in the Bottom Bracket, and last had a full service back in March.
This means the spec list runs like this:
The wheels are still the bomb, they are smooth as.
*God may or may not have owned this bmx at some point.
