fuck... seriously wobbly i bet. flip you off your bike.
-
• #6
insane! how long did you have to ride like this?
-
• #7
it was wobbly as fuck the whole tube oscillated causing the bars to wobble nearly the whole time, was about 4.2 miles to get home, early in the morning, oddly fun as well
-
• #8
haha!
nice work Seb, not one to do things by half measures are you?
-
• #9
not really no
-
• #10
You would have had two large hills to contend with from there as well, did the pipe bounce on the ground much?
-
• #11
nope never hit the ground, but normally would have a wobble from left to right but this would be combined with up and down wobble when going over speed bumps. took it quite slow and avoided muswell hill and took a route via east finchley for quieter roads and less cars

i've always just asked them for off cuts and they are more than happy, anything less than 6ft generally goes in teh skip

Picked up 20+ feet of pipe here; @ Gray's Inn Road by kings cross last night.
There's quite a bit still there at the moment.

yeah, I saw them actually smashing up end cuts of pipe with a sledge hammer once... Maybe by asking them, we're saving them some work?

Has anyone got a couple of decent lengths of pipe lying around (or know where there are suitable roadworks)?
Em and I are going to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks time, and it would be great if we could take some pipe for them, ideally in 5 foot lengths or thereabouts so it can fit in the bike bag. Gas and water pipe in the Netherlands is all a lot thinner it seems and they want to get ball-jointing!
-
• #23
yeah sure, i think me and tony have 2x 6 foot lengths. you can have as much as you need.
hurricane josh, i know you wanted some pipe so sorry i didn't bring it today! -
• #24
Josh that's perfect. let me know when you'll be about.
Thanks!
