well this is really no help. how do you expect help without giving information?
most road brakes go down to 39mm.

Well I'm aware there is a standard for road brakes and many measure around 40mm, so I'm asking if anyone knows of a caliper which is known for it's short reach, thus being shorter than average. Didn't think it was that difficult to see if someone knew of a brake which had a particularly short reach (ie. running a brake on a drilled track fork).

Yes, Dia Compe Aero/Aero Gran Compe are the shortest reach brake calliper I know of. Very light, and look good, too.
Really short (shorter than 39) is Dia Compe aero gran compe
Too short for most frames/forks
Here they say it's 37-43mm, but I've had them once and remember that they were damn short. -

I use one of these on my Samson (former training bike). But the geo is pretty tight on the frame anyway.

I've just bought a Samson, labelled as a former training bike, and am looking for a short reach caliper too... Err Donkey Rhubarb, have I just bought your former bike? Am concerned as couldn't fit my DA caliper due to the lower headset crown race getting in the way - considered filing the offending part of brake caliper down but not sure it will have the short drop needed anyway. Any ideas, anyone? Are the AGC the best option?
Really looking for a caliper with a super short reach. Don't have my bike with me or I'd measure the measurement I'm after, but does anyone have any experience of needing a short caliper and let me know what it is? Are there any which are known to have a shorter reach than others?
Cheers.
