Vittoria randonneur - max 85psi?

I've just got some vittoria randonneur tyres, 700x28, and they say to inflate to max 85 psi, which seems low compared to 120 in my 23c s.

Can i put any more in?

Can get them to atleast 95/100 no probs but in future, UTFS! ;-)

they roll fine on 85psi, obviously being a bigger tyre they hold a lot more air for cushioning and ting.

Randonneur will explode at 100psi, cut your legs off and give you aids.

They don't roll fine, they're soggy . or, bare mushy ting if you live nr bethnal green

I runs em 120PSI = no flats since December

i've got them going on monsterhybrid at 700x32 at >85psi.
they have not exploded. nor have they bulged in an unsightly manner.

I regularly pump them over 100, no flats in just over a year!

Exactly. You can easily run them at higher pressures but they are a bigger tyre so you don't need them to be as high a pressure as a 23 mm tyre so comparing pressures directly is useless.

i'm all for crass behavior, but this continual joking about AIDS is pretty fucking low. Not only is it completely destroying entire countries in other parts of the world, but it's also wrecking the individual lives of plenty of people who walk the walk you walk.
