yup, you can get lots of old BBs, if you find out what you need, i can go to my local ancient bikes refurbishing place (its a goldmine) they have boxes and boxes of BBs and i can probably get you a cotter pin or 2. good luck :)

Hey Neil, I have a complete crank/BB assembly actually from an old Raleigh you can have if you want it - be glad to find it a good home!
I suspect I have broken the axle on my Raleigh's bottom bracket. I know it's 35 years old but I have never heard of a steel BB axle shearing.
I thought it was just a loose cotter pin but holding both cranks I can move them independently and the axle moves too.
So, can you still get cotter pin-type axles for 1974 Raleigh roadsters?
