Wanted: Cheap workstand

  • If anybody has one they want to get rid of it would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Yes, foldable, but in NL.

Why don't you attach 2 chains to the ceiling and make hooks at the end for bars and saddle. Better than any work stand (except if you want or have to work outside).

  • Thanks for the idea. I may have to have a go in the basement this weekend.

  • Depends on what you mean by 'cheap', but I bought a great workstand from Ribble a few weeks ago for my first build and have been very impressed with both its versatility and build quality. Cost was just over 50 quid delivered:

p.s. you'll find that the same stand, under a different name, is sold by other cycle shops for closer to a hundred quid making the Ribble deal a pretty good one in my opinion.

Or unless you want to have your bike not swing around while you're trying to work on it.

  • purchased....thanks for the tip off. I guess this is 'cheap' enough. They do seem to be pretty pricey for what they are.

Good to be able to take outside also
