Wanted: Bike Box

Evening all,

Am off to New York on holiday in a few weeks and really want to take my bike over with me, was wondering if anyone out there had a hard case they could loan out for a week in return for my eternal gratitude/beer?
Am loathed to fork a few hundred quid for something ill only use once in a blue moon so any help would be much appreciated.

I've got one taking up space here. I think it will depend on the size of your frame; I have a 58 cm pug that can probably fit in it if I remove the forks. I can try to get some measurements and pics for you soon if you think that might swing it.

Ply lined, cardboard bike box does the job won't set you back anymore than a tenner...

well i ride a 57cm frame, hopefully should fit. thanks for the offer

am flying on a staff travel standby ticket so would rather have something a bit more robust and airline friendly, but thanks for the tip!
