hahaha. What are the Friday rides like by the way? They're such a great idea.

Cycle Friday - aka BikeTube rides are crazy but fun. We take a small group of new commuters into St.Pauls some of them have never done anything like that before and can be quite scary to watch. This morning we had a good bunch, I suspect a few of them acutally worked for Transport for London and came along to be with Boris.

Was Boris brakless? Did anyone shout DO A SKID?

How did you get the shepherding gig, does it pay, or strictly voulenteer?

I met Boris randomly the other day, as we were both cycling through Monument. He ignored a bunch of nodders and bent my ear about "these bikes with one gear", basically asking what's the point. I had a bit of a star-struck mind-blank to be honest - briefly considered wheeling out Desgrange - hastily discarded that idea, and just said they felt good. As we went our seperate ways he waved me off in a very friendly fashion - top guy.

People from the LCC borough groups volunteer for it - noone gets paid. Well, Charlie does but he works at LCC head office as his username suggests.

Excellent, I might join one one day to see what it is like. Maybe from a distance.

The Friday ride to work thing is quite good- they held a couple of junctions open which is quite convenient from a getting to work fast perspective.

Still not voting for him.

Boris doesn't want to be Mayor of London, he wants to be PM. This is just a stepping stone.
He's an idiot.

But an exceptionally clever idiot.

He's a fucking clown, politics in the UK has become another celebrity joke, they may as well send out voting forms with copies of Heat magazine.
-

^^If they did, they would probably get more people voting.

On this morning's Cycle Friday ride from Finsbury Park, Boris joined the new commuter cyclists, with a mass of press hangers on. Halfway there he swapped bikes with ride leader Amy - amazing: Amy struggling with gears and Boris flying away fixed.
Friggin awesome. I wish I could ride with Boris.
