  • Pie for Life?

    I bet Hippy's got 5k sitting around

  • I'd want at least one of those a week, not per month!

and the price is somewhat prohibitive

  • Great, another pie/food/flan/cheesecake thread

    Isn't there already about 6?

  • dudes, PIE FOR LIFE don't hate.

  • +1

  • For that price those pies better be the size of Texas.

  • This pie thread is useless without pie pictures...

  • Who doesn't love cream pie? It's the king of pies.

  • $10k.. so you'd need a 100 years of pie to consider it worthwhile.

  • I do love a bit of pie

  • Marble cake?

  • I like cake.

  • onanist

  • Here's one I made earlier.
    chicken and bacon pie.

  • Isn't that a Pi Pie?

  • Useless. Americans don't understand meat in pie.

  • ^ this is why they are damned

  • Marble cake?

i ate some very nice marble cake (decorated with jeppy tots) while flying a kite on parliament hill last sunday.

    thank you.

  • a 100 years

Do you mean a hundred, or one hundred? Surely if using the numerical 100, the "a" becomes superfluous.
The Henderson's Relish factory continually irks me for this very reason...

  • i prefer suet pud

  • Could we please merge the pie/cake/helmet threads?

I really hate it when people talk of "the hoi poloi". Why "the" when one has the "hoi" immediately after. "The the people". Rather silly and demonstrates a singular lack of a decent classical education.

You just want to have your helmet and eat it.

I really hate it when people talk of "hoi poloi". "Polloi" is, of course, spelled with two 'l' (transliteration for the Ancient Greek letter lambda). Rather silly and demonstrates a singular lack of a decent classical education. :)
