  • Hi everyone,
I've got a brand new Surly Steamroller frame to sell. The frame has never been used, I still have the original box. It's got a tiny scratch on the right seat stay, nothing serious or making the frame useless or forcing the future owner into respraying the frame. Quite frankly, I doubt it will be visible once you've put the frame into use.
The size is 59cm c/t and the colour is maroon.
I'm forced into selling because I can't justify spending money on building a new project since I'm a bit skint at the moment. Also just anaged to fix my old bike and in the process I've realised I like it so much that I wanna keep riding it:)
I'm based in north west London, zone 2 and the frame is to be pick up buy the buyer, cash on collection please.
If you interested please PM me for the pictures.
    Waiting for the offers.
    Cheers,
    Teegoat

  • You might want to give people a ballpark for the offers that you expect to flood in?

  • yeah a little pricing's wouldn't go a miss :)

  • Otherwise I predict you may get offers such as this:

£1.00 and a chocolate digestive (unlicked).

  • humm i was thinking 50p and a Milk Chocolate hobnob

  • Fair enough, although I would count on people being reasonable and checking the retail price before coming up with the offers. The high street price is around £300, although obviously I do not expect this kind of price.

  • How does £150 sound?

  • theres a dude selling them brand new on ebay for £235.

if it was a 54, i'd give you £190/200 for it.

  • It's my size but I'd have to rid it of the maroon paint.

Actually why the hell am I thinking about this?

    I don't need another bike.

    Meh.

  • 235 plus the postage, 20 quid if I remember clearly, that's 255. Taking into account a tiny scratch I would like something in the area of 225.

  • don't forget ebay charges

  • I think you'll be lucky to get that, but wish you the best of luck with it.

  • Anyway, there you have it. I don't think you gonna get it cheaper than the just quoted ebay price plus p&p and waiting time. My ideal price is £225 but I will be happy to discuss it if somebody is seriously interested and you can pick up the frame tomorrow. 150 is definitely too low though, I would rather keep it for myself;)

  • ^ that's an awesome deal... so tempted

  • there are two pics, one of the frame and one of the scratch

What have you done to it?

  • Added white bull bars. Hideous.

  • Otherwise I predict you may get offers such as this:

£1.00 and a chocolate digestive (unlicked).

    Ahahaha

  • Ok, guys, if anybody's keen, first person to PM can get the frame for 200 quid, you'd have to pick it up either tomorrow between 11am and 13. Otherwise you have to wait until after the 14th since I'm going on holiday.

  • Go on, Neil. Join the Surly club. Your current steed will soon be too 'nice' for everyday riding.

  • Anybody interested? I'm back to London from holiday now, so the frame can be picked up for £200
