What did they do? Rust?

I use the Bontrager inner tubes ones all the time and have a few with 1000+ miles that have outlasted a set of tyres. No sign of cheese or cack on any of them. Care to elaborate?

£10 for an inner tube??
Bontrager, amongst other are fine, I don't think there's such thing as a 'bad' inner tube, apart from those thin light race one being more prone to puncture.

Or is this one of those "wheee! I'm on teh Intarzwebz all your produktz are stoopidz" threads.
Ed - £10 for three near me.

is the cheese veined?
i have some slick bontrager tyres, they are noice, albeit flat at the moment.

£10 for plural, I'm guessing two tubes.
I'm also guessing the OP is experiencing what we like to call "user error" and has mangled the two tubes by being careless with the pump. Didn't want to conclude that but you know what? Who gives a shit.. I have.

I have too - but some of the Crank Bros. pumps eat presta valve stems. I was angry at spending £25 for a pump that eats presta valves. Didn't feel the need to complain to the whole Intarzwebz.
Anyone wanna buy a very lightly used pump?

I'll take it from you for nothing?

As long as I can have all your broken presta valve stems....

And if I can use it without breaking any?
-
• #13
i have one, and it isn't easy.
-
• #14
I now see it as a challenge.
-
• #15
actually - i left mine in a pub, and i am secretly not very upset about it

These things? Looks more like some kind of irrigation fitting..

i had it down to spaz hands, but after a couple going, you need to be careful and jam your hand against summat solid, when you get pumping.
i am going to get a co2. fuck it.
-
• #19
So you hold around the gauge and almost the whole outer tube bits 'pumps'?
I can see why that might cause problems.I've watched people fuck up CO2 too.

The Bonty ones are from the same factory as about 50% of the inner tubes on the market... They're fine.
-
• #22
Yeah, £5 each. The valve pins just disintegrated when I was riding, albeit not both at the same time (already have had to replace the rear tube) and I used a track pump to inflate them.
Not really ever had this problem with any other tubes when riding or even going at them like a twat with a mini pump, so perhaps I just got a bad batch. -

I bow to your experience of all things colonic... ;-/

Grape irrigation systems ftw

you don't like vino though
Beware inner tube stems made of cheese.
Only ones my lbs had in 23s and they disintegrated in a matter of weeks, such a waste of a tenner. Off to get some michelin ones now.
