cane creek are pretty good and I have a pair in the post, I only need the LH so the RH is going spare....
I think that the cross levers sold for 26mm bars will fit slightly smaller to take account of the sleeve. I have a cane creek lever I believe to be for 26mm bars on a pair of nitto bars at the moment, what I'm trying to say in a clumsy way is that a 26mm paul lever will fit your nittos on the bar away from the sleeve if it has one.
Have you seen the paul cross lever as opposed to the E lever? It look nicer IMO and I think the lever's longer, so you can use 2 fingers if you like :)

thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I notice on the acor lever that it's a clip-on -- does it feel secure? any chance of it slipping?

- 1 for the Acor!
I bought a pair a few years back (metal finish) and use on two vintage bikes/bars - no problems whatsoever, look and feel good and well-priced.
- 1 for the Acor!

Recently fitted two of the Acor Cross levers, left and right handed, up top on my bullhorns.
They look great and feel solid and reliable. Can't imagine having problems with them. I had to buy 2 new lengths of break cable wire with pear nipples though, which was no biggie. You could technically use them with barrel nippled cable but the pear nipples look better.
Guy from the store where I purchased said that a lot of people running freewheel/fixed have bought these and used them as their main pull lever/s (he didn't know what I was riding when he said this). He stated that he knows of no problems using them this way. Fucking cheap too. £15.62 for the pair! Brucie bonus.
Now just gotta try and rub off the logo.

I have a Cane Creek linked to a Campag brake.
The lever feel is great.
Previous to that I had a Salsa cross lever which was also excellent.
I have a pair of Nitto bars and I'd like to run a single cross-lever. The bars have an OD of 23.8mm which is pretty standard.
I have a Tektro RL570 which is fine, but I think it feels flimsy and doesnt quite match my bike which is nearly all-vintage except for the bars and wheels. I formerly used a Paul E-lever which felt solid and well-made, but I didnt like the one-finger braking -- my hands are too big, I suppose.
What would be a good compromise between the quality construction and solid feel of the E-lever and the full-finger Tektro CX lever?
The Dirty Hairy or Gold Finger just wont fit the aesthetics of the build. I'd rather just use the Tektro that I have. I like the look of the Paul Cross Lever, but it is too large for the OD of the Nitto bars and I'd rather not shim -- been there, done that. Shimming a brake lever sucks.
What else is an option to look into?
