Yep.
350k into a 400k audax I woke up whilst accellerating down hill. At that point I decided to curtail my ride and get some proper sleep.
Oddly, the next time I did a 400k I managed to get about 5 minutes sleep at 300k and was awake enough to complete the rest of the ride.

i've been close many times, the anecdotes above recall a really stupid practice i adopted when younger of closing my eyes whilst riding & seeing how long it was before i opened them again, not long of course: These days i frequently drift off or fantasize whilst riding & then find myself in the wrong place though it always has a significance to me, like somewhere i used to live or work or the route a friend

If a driver drives when tired or drunk, he is likely to kill others. If a cyclist rides tired or drunk, he is most likely to kill himself but could cause accidents to others, particularly when others try to avoid him.

I have done the reverse. Was fast asleep and dreaming about riding when a gust of wind blew my alarm clock of the window ledge waking me up. For a split second this translated into the worst bike-crash dream imaginable. I threw the duvet off and was waving my arms and legs about in a massive adrenaline rush.

i had a mate at school who fell asleep on his paper round.
cycled his bike into a parked car putting his head through the back window.
ended up in a neck brace with a lacerated eye lid and eyebrow.
ouch. -

you gotta be REALLY tired to fall asleep while cycling
i just can't imagine it
well apart the 6 straight days on acid and speed no sleep route could be possible but who does that these days none of us are rockstars in a band as far as i know -

I have blacked out from being drunk and deciding to go on a night ride (used to live waaaay in the country) just nodded off while riding back

My dad fell asleep whilst riding, he was going down hill at a fair speed and just drifted off.
Whilst sleeping he veered into a bus stop that was kind of cut out of a raised bit of land, he hit a dustbin and got thrown onto the raised bit behind the bus stop.
The bin was bent in half but him and his bike were fine! -

but that's not falling asleep, on the way back from brighton I did find myself falling asleep south of croydon so had a little nap by the road side for an hour or so...
After the office christmas party, I went to my even classes christmas party, I'm told I left at 3am (left=chucked out) and was woken by police near tower hill at about 5am... think they would have arrested me if I hadn't started throwing up...
Has anyone ever done this? I'm pretty sure I fell alseep when I suddenly found myself face-planted into the back of a parked car... hmmm
