  • Sickness.

  • Oh my God...

    The lines...

    THE LINES!!!!

  • I want to visit Manhattan just to ride that place.

  • I want to visit Manhattan just to ride that place.

  • I would bloody love to skate/ride that when it's empty... for a whole day.... ahhhhh....

  • Haha, that reminds me of those games where you have to guide a marble along a bumpy obstacle course.

Looks great! Like something made out of sand that has been made permanent.

You're familiar with concrete right Oliver?

Looks amazing. Want my BMX back.

  • You're familiar with concrete right Oliver?

    Er? Wotzat?

  • looks dope.

could get some mad flow going around that park.

  • Local's only what?

  • i like the fact that this thread is about Larry Heard's band before he went solo

  • I did not know Manhattan was in NYC.

  • Local's only what?

    Explanation:
A lot of surf spots & skate parks come with a notoriety of being the residence of hard core locals only. As such, said locals tend to take a dislike to non-locals coming along and generally behave in a non gentlemanly manner towards them.

Therefore my posting of that image was used to highlight the fact that this skatepark is situated in the US, whereas Crazy James is situated in London's famous London, and as such is not a local to said skatepark. The image was used for comedic effect to suggest that anyone not local may not be warmly welcomed to skate there.

As I have had to explain the above this has radically reduced any little comedy value attached to the posting of the original picture.

  • thats like " the rom " except the rom is better and closer !!

    Fail...

As a Slades Farm Local for many years I know only too well what that meant - I was just picking on the grammatical error...

  • Butcher's apostrophe, innit.

Slades Farm? Sounds like fun. Local"s only?

  • You mean you haven't heard of Slades Farm? One of the finest '70s concrete skateparks this country ever built?

    God I feel old...

  • Is this you then?

The fact that I know who Slade are means we're most probably both 'old codgers' anyway ;)

  • I'm old enough to remember when that snake run went all the way round, and wasn't bowled out where that shot was taken...

    And I rode BMX...

Ah those were the days. I learnt x-ups out of the bowl and 270 hips there...

But yes - looks like we're proper old. How are your knees? ;p

  • I was a BMX'er to not a skater.
But my knees are fucked from rugby, so SS for me :)
