No takers?

I don't want to see this becoming a collector model
The word "Ibanez" on the headstock should pretty much eliminate that possibility.

HAIR METAL GUITAR. Personally I was all about the ESP customs when I had a spider web ear ring and spray on jeans...

Thats a real nice guitar! I played one of those in a shop once. played real good. Shame I can't play for shit though, and I'm broke.

Ok fair enough, not collector per se...
They are becoming more uncommon though, it wasn't a massive selling model, mainly because it was feckin' expensive but it's absolutely brilliant!!
Not just hair metally either though, you really can play any style of music on that guitar, I've played rock, metal, blues and jazz on it and it sounds sweet for everything!

Bump?

Lovely guitar, if I played I'd consider it.

I don't like Ibanez but that's a beautiful guitar.
Respect on the PRS too btw, I used to rock those back in the days, until a friend of mine started making his own guitars and we used those instead. I used to salivate after Paige Hamilton's pink PRS. Beautiful machine.

You paid 2100 euro's for a guitar to use at one audition?
Thats dedication.

Try morgasm - he's into his shredding.

Yeah... Well I intended to keep it so I figured I'd get something nice, it was this or a JEM. Ideally though I was waiting to get a Custom Shop Custom 24 w/ Floyd Rose, like the one the guy in Story Of The Year has, would've been super sweet but about €8,000+

But i would feel like a douche.

you're a devout prs user and yet you removed the tone pot? Why on earth....
lovely guitar and love the stain, though -
• #15
Yeah I'm not a huge tone pot fan to be honest, I always found I never used them and it's one more connection in the body to either fail or disrupt the current somewhat. I've always been able to do anything I want, for tone, by hand...
I've taken the PRS 5-way selector out of my Custom 22 and replaced it with a 3-way toggle and a push pull coil tap... much better! Had to drill out the hole to fit the toggle though which was a bit un-nerving on a €4,000 guitar!!!

It's true I barely use mine, but on the other hand, there have been a couple of rare occasions when I have had need for it, so I'd have it just for those. There's no particular reason why they should go wrong, and if you switch them out for something decent and shield them, they shouldn't disrupt the current.

That's probably a good idea. I like coil taps. But fucking drilling a Custom 22? Madness!

Yeah it was fairly scary alright! It isn't much difference having them in or out really (Tone pot) but I do prefer a nice clean looking top too so I prefer to get rid of them myself...
-
• #18
Clean with a fucking great hole in it?! ;)
-
• #19
Ah yeah, nice and tidy ;)
So any takers for this little beauty of a guitar?
-

hey just got ur message. nice guitar but i have far to many... best of luck

half the fun with guitars is fiddling with them, then figuring out how to put them back together again radius!
My favourite guitar is an old encore les paul that i completely destroyed, before carving up the bridge pickup from a telecaster and fitting it upside down into the neck position. I also wired up the pickups back to front, and broke both the tone pots in the process. The result? A freaking awesome sounding guitar!
...Although you have to flick the tone switch back and forth for a few minutes to get any sound out of it at all.

Of course it is, I weren't saying that at all. You should see what I've done to some of my guitars...

i'll take the picks if you split it
Ibanez RGT 220 A for sale, barely used!
As some of you know I auditioned for Berklee College of Music... When I auditioned I played "The Animal" by Steve Vai and as a devout user of PRS guitars I didn't have anything with a Floyd Rose... Soooo... I bought this
I have only used this for one audition and I haven't really played it otherwise... I have modified it slightly in that I have removed the Tone Pot (which can be replaced if so desired prior to sale) and I have given it a custom Rising Sun Stain on the boy which really looks fantastic in the flesh.
This is a great guitar to play, an absolute dream, but I'm just not playing it enough anymore and I figure it would be better off being played by someone than sitting gathering dust in my bedroom... I don't want to see this becoming a collector model, it was made to be thrashed...
It comes complete with all certificates of authenticity and Ibanez J-Works Hardcase, spare rubbers for tremolo and a DiMarzio strap (white)..
This really is a lovely guitar that I hate to let go as they are quite rare and beautiful guitrs but I equally hate to see it be wasted...
I would specify that whoever may buy it would give me first option if they ever decide to sell it on again as if the circumstances allowed to I would like to have it back some day but for now I want it to be payed and cherished by someone...
I payed €2100 for it new and it is almost brand new still, hardly used...
Going now for €1,700 (£1,500 inc. postage)
