ever thought about riding lessons?
Ahh, and so it begins, I love the forum. You're funny. I went round a blind bend, taxi wanker stopped where he shouldn't be, just about managed to avoid ploughing into the back of him, and was unsuprisingly out-braked by two motorbikes. I'm angry at myself cos it was indeed my fault. But no, I don't need riding lessons. Thanks though. -

h aha ha i know. proper cuntish, i did it to amuse myself and it worked
i caught the samething two days ago. and funny enough it was a blue badge taxi. top of hammersmith a one way meets a two way and both turn into a right right/left hander to get to Che Bu (the bush) i was behind the blue badge of death and as he got around the corner he decided to stop sharp to see if it was a fair by the cafe.
the scooter that came from the other direction could do fuck all. i am amazed he stayed on. being all superior i could see the danger and held back.. thems the skillz my friend.. thems the skillz -

Whilst I extend sympathy for your unfortunate injuries it might be prudent to consider the old maxim of always being able to stop in the distance you can see to be clear.

"The pedestrian lights changed and the bikes were able to stop. I wasn't"
This is quite worrying tho. Either you were going light speed or are not able to stop in control.
Brakeless fixed you might have an excuse, all be it a poor one, but with front brake, the holy grail of stopping power . . . sketchy! As GS said, you might need to work on your technique sir. No offence.

Do you not think you should have been a bit more careful going around a blind bend?
Surely you realise that unexpected things happen on the road so you should take more care if you can't see what''s ahead of you?
If it was a ped crossing the road as you were going around the corner rather thn a taxi in your way, would you still be calling them a cunt or would you have accepted responsibility of being a cunt yourself?

There's a test match on at the Oval, did you not think it might be a bit congested around there?

If the cab and motos weren't there were you planning on running the red and potentially mowing down any peds on the crossing?
Things stop in bus lanes, whether they are allowed to or not. Methinks this one is your fault and you should learn from it. -

QuickVit, 1) that's a car not a ped 2) you do know that some of those riders were killed? Not a nice image to try and make a point.

Just because they can be cnuts does not mean that we should be too. Tit for tat on the roads doesn't work.

Meh
Tit for tat on the roads doesn't work.
Yes it does.
In particular, the driver of a black VW Sharan (the 7 seater) who stopped on the double red lines, in the bus lane, outside the Oval cricket ground, just before the pedestrian crossing.
I was heading west, went past the tube station, along the side of the ground, where the road bends right. It then bends quite sharply left, and straight up to Vauxhall.
He stopped just the other side of the blind bend. Stopping was not an option, just came round the corner and there he was, hazards on, waiting for a fare. The motorbike and scooter in front of me in the bus lane went round him. I did the same, taking care not to be hit by anything else coming up on the outside.
The pedestrian lights changed and the bikes were able to stop. I wasn't (front brake and fixed)
:(
I split my knee open on my frame, and sprained my wrist. I hit the CG125 hard enough to shunt it into the scooter. No damage to either, and they stayed upright, thank goodness.
Quick check, ride off. First bend, wobble and almost fall off when toe hits front wheel at slow speed. Strange, never had toverlap... Forks bent back in crash, clearance is now less than 1cm!
I'm so pissed off, it's because of the Addison Lee twat waiting where he shouldn't that I hit the bikes, but I hit them from behind, so any claim would be a struggle, and I can't be arsed. Frame and fork = £45, so I'm not too fussed, but it's my main method of transport / commuting.
Good excuse to buy a tasty frame though I guess!
TAXI WANKER!
