I used to for BMXing and 4X.
They work well, never tried them for polo though. -

I use 661 veggie wraps. They work well, but stink after minimal use.
What i really want are 661 EVO pads with the magic material (d3o) that stiffens on impact.

i have football shin pads. Offer protection for the shin (obviously), and ankles - but have nothing around the back to protect your calf muscles. Picked mine up for £3 from that horrible sports shop on oxford street

Weeeeell..
The second part of this is that I was at a carboot sale on the weekend an a guy was selling some kickboxing equipment and I managed to get some BMX style (kickboxing) shinpads that seem pretty good and cover the whole shin and a little back protection with neoprene or something.
I got 3 sets for £2 so have 2 sets to give away to the first replies that want!

Cheers Joel... I only wanted to give them a go because it seems from the goalie thread, I may have to get out and start to learn how to actually play polo. If I don't get on with them I was going to offer them to Ali :)
I'll be at Newington on Weds and Downham at the weekend, or Dave will be playing at Downham tomorrow and Thurs.

Ha, but for that comment you can have a sticker.
Can't remember who actually wears these but I have taken a few mallets to the shin recently and was thinking about getting some.
I know yorgo has robo-pads but does anyone wear the soft BMX style ones?
