you wouldnt want to cycle in there! stinky fast and generally cycle unfriendly + theres a good cycle lane down Narrow St so no need

You would have to have serious mental issues to want to cycle through it. Same goes for Rotherhithe tunnel. Which you are allowed to cycle through though

I accidentally cycled through it once as was trying to cycle to Canary Wharf. It's fun to ride through but I wouldn't recommend it as too many blind spots for drivers.
Were discussing this at east drinks and apparently it is legal to cycle through

I rode this by accident when I first arrived here. Probably the fastest I've ever ridden.

eastbound there was a 'no cycling' sign, but westbound all I could see was a no bombs and acid sign, so I thought it was fair game. Shortly after a siren comes over the tannoy and a prerecorded voice repeated a police warning all the way to the end of the tunnel. Bit OTT, there was no going back and no getting off and walking. Saved a few minutes and wasn't that hairy, although was caning it.

a horrible horrible tunnel. like some posters above, went through it once by accident and it was not a nice experience.

I cycled in there a few weeks ago for the london triathlon
It was great, nice surface, ramps down, we were flying, everyone going mental

Up to the A13 and around, funny I went past that today and thought the same...

Accidentally went down here yesterday, mostly from bad signage going eastbound. Wasn't too bad though, was flying through keeping up with traffic until the uphill at the end.

Try the Blackwall Tunnel, that's a real blast, also a no-no.

Sorta makes me not want to live on this planet anymore. I'm in no way surprised by them, more by the fact that this could be a popular opinion.
"Yes, it's their fault - but it UNINTENTIONAL. Nobody runs out of petrol in a tunnel on purpose."
What?...WHAT?!?!I'm going to start driving just so I can use that! "Sorry officer, I thought it was a perpetual motion machine...."
"Just another example of broken Britain."
This has GOT to be the best one! I mean, history will look back upon this as a lynch pin for socioeconomic revolution. Financial meltdown? Crippling poverty? rising Unemployment? noooo....Guy on two wheels going 10mph slower than this guy in a tunnel. dum dum DUMMMM!

Ended up going through, spotted the no cycling sign too late and that was it, thankfully on a quiet Sunday morning.
Ride data suggests I averaged 22.3mph. On a normally very relaxed 46:19. Avg cadence ~120rpm, which probably reflects my state of mind for ending up there.
Not recommended but given the conditions it was quite fun.

Yeah I also did that on sunday. No idea how fast I was going but I spun out on a 50-12 which would explain why nothing overtook me.
However by the time I got to the end, it felt like I had smoked 20 cigarettes. That'll learn me to blindly follow the gmap to the excel centre

Done it a few times in rush hour for various reasons - only issue is busybody car drivers in traffic banging their horns upset that you're going faster than them. Too well lit to be dangerous.
...off limits to pedestrians and cyclists apparently.
