  • Ooh, my birthday weekend and Dave's taking me to Paris :D

  • how convenient!!!

  • Oh what a coincidence, I'll be taking my girlfriend to paris for that weekend too...

  • ha ha ha ha...i can see it now, all these ladies thinking their going to paris for a romantic weekend of art, fine food and good tobaco and BAM,

'hey baby mind if we go see this thing that's going on?'

'hey where did your polo bike come from?'

  • 'hey baby mind if we go see this thing that's going on?'
    '

    Smooth talker Aidan!

  • Well shouldn't be too much of a problem for me as I assume I'll be knocked out pretty sharpish and can get back to art fine food etc... but yeah sneaking the polo bike to paris is going to be the main challenge :-)

Just say you got her a supprose present and it was so big you had to take it on the eurostar in a bike bag.
'What? I said supprise, never said you'd like it.'

  • Smooth talker Aidan!

Listen baby, I can sense the sarcasum, but this smooth talking mouth of mine serves me well. How else do you think i have hords of woman swooning at my feet day in day out? ;)

  • I'm not a woman and I've never swooned at your feet.
You need to learn to tell the truth.

  • I like that idea so much that I might try it... although going to paris and telling her about a surprise present could lead to the most momentus of disappointments for her!

Fuck, this might end up being a very expensive tourneyment...

  • but yeah sneaking the polo bike to paris is going to be the main challenge :-)

what d'you think these are for...

  • Woh! That would work wouldn't it?!

48 spokes, check. Solid frame, check. Low saddle, check. No drops, check...

As long as you took the basket off that would work wouldn't it?!

I assume someones done this before?

  • weighs a ton, check.

    brakes are shit, check.

  • i have bunny-hopped one, and played polo with Em sitting in the basket with two mallets. They are shit!

  • I think a team needs to get on this...

no top tube makes for incredible ball control.

Sounds like my normal polo bike.

Well I'll see who I end up with and if I can convince them... it'll probably not make a differance to my play!

Maybe can get sponsorship from them? :-)

  • Is everyone going to be Eurostarring it? Or might people go on the ferry and train/s?

  • i'll be taking eurostar i reckon.

  • word. i'd like to get a team together for this, euro isn't too expensive.

  • I reckon Eurostar.

  • FYI: Eurostar are cunts...

normally they're ok... but just now came back from paris and the guy was a total tool about the usual ziptie bike together put binliners on it.. wouldnt let the bike on, had to get another plastic bag from eurostar and catch next train!

take a bike bag, or something thats not a bin liner

  • Grrr.

We've still got those market bags that Andy Lockett got for everyone. Such a good buy at £2.50 each and definitely recommended for the Eurostar.

  • Polo gear from Dieppe FTW
