I have a load of those stackable crates used for transporting groceries if thats any good? personally found them better for moving as they werent too awkward or heavy. I have to check if they're still in the basement though.

freecycle is a good place to get packing boxes, i've found.

I won't be at the pub tonight, but you're very welcome to pop over for them... We're out of packing tape, so you'll probably need a car cuz they'll be a bit unwieldy... Not sure how many we have but there'll be at least 10 or so...

if you goto a suitably sized sainsburys and ask nicely, they may give you the vegetable packing cases. worked for me. as they can be dropped back off with anyy sainsburys.
also big yellow storage sell boxes.

Yeah, record stores, HMV + Fopp are good for that, all the boxes are decent sized, but strong enough to take plenty of weight.

most big retailers would let you take boxes away, saves on their aviva bill.

Greasy and I have to move and would be grateful to anyone who has any of the folding cardboard boxes the removal guys use.
