silly question but have you tried emailing Sidi and saying they have "failed" you may get free replacement parts if you word your email correctly. Include best shoes ever owned loyal customer etc etc etc

yes done that, but these are NOS from over a decade ago. they don't stock the part i need any more. i think the only way is to cut the loop off the right hand side of that dominator spare above and sew it in.
just need to find someone throwing some sidis away, which is a rare occurrence.

I think I can see what you are talking about how about getting someone to stitch a leather loop across that part or maybe speak to Scott not Scot or maybe not Scott for advice as I am sure he could come up with a solution.

yeh might do that, quite liking my ghetto strap solution at the mo but it needs sorting proper.

you can buy spares for sidis on wiggle. i know theyre arnt meant for that model, but they sell new rachets amd toothed strips, so im guessing there must be a way to use them.

Ha shit I saw your e-mail at work today, thought they might have come from tdv.
I'll PM you tomorrow and sort out a spare strap, It will work if you cut one of the those soft insteps pictured and get it sewen into the shoe now I see it pictured there it makes sense.
can you measure the width of that strap
http://www.velouk.com is a really good source for sidi spare parts.
Hello,
Picked up some NOS Sidis from Tour de Ville which were broken on the clasp...
if you see the shoe on the right is missing the loop of plastic that secures the toothed strip which connects to the ratchet (so hard to describe).
I basically need an old battered pair of sidis to butcher and sew in the part for these.
I think i could sort it by getting one of these...
Anyone got one to donate?
this is my short term fix...
thanks
