You might see my old buddy Rowan knocking around. looks about 30, blad, beard, brown hair (whats left of it). He rides a load of different bikes - 1950's Freddy Grubb, 1980's Raleigh Routier conversion, dark green Dawes Galaxy, light blue Dawes Impulse etc etc etc
Cool, I'll keep an eye out. I think a few people used to meet up a while back for rides tryin to get something like that organised.

I live in Belfast and am thinking about getting into Fixed Gear! Any recommendations?? :)
I would recomend a conversion, for keeping the price down more than anything else. Go to the bike workshop on Laurence St and pick up a geared bike, (u will get one cheap from there the guy is cool.) then get a fixed rear wheel from Chainreactions. If you need any help or tools i can give you a hand. You are a few days late i just had a bit of a clear out there and got rid of some frames and wheels cranks etc, prob could have knocked something together for next to nothing.

Cool, lookin forward to next week. Was speaking to a guy outside Botanic Gds on a charge i think. Cool guy and was up for a spin. Told him to have a look on here for this thread.

I'm from NI too, I head down to Belfast a good bit to see my mates. TBH I've seen more fixeds kickin about the countryside than in town! Might try and make it over some time for a run with you guys.

cool to see a bit of activity in this thread. as the guy above said i brought my bike back home to the sticks with me and was out for a ride. this old guy came up on an old fixed gear bike we had a bit of a chat he was cool. must have been a vintage hipster. Spotted nice bianchi locked near the apartment today. i have seen it around a few times now, any body on here own it?

we're heading out tomorrow evening. 6 from the custom house. last week was flooded out, so we probably will do the trip by the shipyard to holywood. o + by the way - spotted 2 single speeds on the way up from work this evening. 2 more than i usually see. 1 girl at the lights by the limelight, 1 guy i lost in traffic going through shaftsbury square. anyone here?

woop woop, looks like there is way more fixie heads in belfast than i thought! Im the one with the white velocitys, green bike and asking if anyone can do wheelies... Tomorrow, 6 oclock at the Albert Clock there is a ride round town to show the city how little cycle lanes ect there is in Belfast. "Bring an air horn and boombox" is what i was told :).

Anybody on here from Belfast and interested in meeting up to go for a spin? I have seen a few fixed gear/ss bikes around but not too many. Here is my bike, if anybody sees me around give me a shout.
