i'll do rear wheel and pedals if you split....you must've seen this coming!

yeah i thoought this might occur marcus,
i will break the bike down and keep the parts i wanted and prob list the remainder on ebay, seems simplest. -

Hi Guys,
ive not taken my bike as far as i can and im considering selling it so i can get stuck into another project.
so... if i can raise enough funds from the sale of my bike to fund the beginnings of another i will. This is as much a thread to get an idea of its worth as it is a sale thread so please just pm what you deem reasonable offers..
the spec is as follows;
Frame + Forks:
Raleigh 1984 Quasar Reynolds 501, 21 1/2 inch frame, gear bosses filed off but still has cable and mech hangers. Lovely paint with fade but does show some scrateches particularly on one fork leg. the frame has been 'coldset' to accept 120mm track hub easily
Wheels + Hubs + Tyres
Front velocity deep V with braking surface, Gold Halo Wheel nuts
Rear H+Son White with white spokes and gold BLB Hub, 16tooth gold sprocket
Continental Gatorskins, 700 x 23c plenty of life left in them.
Crankset
Sugino GT Arms, with 80's Sugino BMX chain ring in gold 43 tooth, 42 and 44 available too.
Gold Chainring bolts
Shimano BB,
NOS original Raleigh stamped bb caps.
KMC chain
**Pedals **
BLB flat track style, in Gold, with cream power grips.
(great pedals!!)
Saddle + Seatpost
Brown Charge spoon (minor scuffing on one shoulder)
SR Fluted seatpost (NJS)
Stem, Bars, Headset.
SR stem 80's from Raleigh Burner,
Nitto risers in Gold, slightly trimmed (these are crimped around the clamping area due to the diffeence between bars and stem dimensions however does not affect durability)
Will supply original drops with white tape and SR quill stem
Volume Grips
Shimano Dura Ace Headset
Brake
Shimano 105 with white cable and white/Gold, Dia Compe Gold Finger, dice cable nipple
Extras
Custom made toptube pad, mimicing Raleigh BMX pad but with world championship stripe accross bottom.
Vans leather OFF THE WALL saddle hanger
i think thats everything, as i say will not be dissapointed if it doesnt sell, and no idea of worth of it as i built it myself by hand from parts. Only reason for sale is itchy fingers for a new project and not enough space to allow for 2 bikes!!!
some photos depict the bike as it was being built but give good idea of frame condition and the drops included in sale, the photos at tour de ville beside the stickered up bike are how it is today!
More photos on request!!
