Surely there have been better inventions since 2005? Like razors with FOUR blades or Mika or something.

i saw the programme last night was afascinating watch
lots of old dodgy geometried bikes wobbling round some outdoor track in the midlands

it was also quite a sexist programme telling stories of wimmins first appearances in the pub
some landlords were shocked at the brazeness of women appearing dressed in strange clothing and drinking pints !!!!! many were told to leave as the pub is a " mans place " to esacpe from the fairer sex .... ahhh the good old days huh !

For me, you've missed the greatest apple confections here: Apple turnover, tarte tatin and apple DOUGHNUTS! Apple slushpuppies were pretty special. Also I feel stewed apple really ought to be higher on the list. I made some the other day from my early-fuiting tree and it was mmmmmarvellous.

But for the best ever invention: cider.

It was only a top 10 and it was as they entered my consciousness. Jeebus.
You will note I also left out apple vodka which is lovely.
