For Sale: Lovely Campagnolo Record Pista / Ypslion Aero Track Wheelset

Hi

Decided to sell the full Campag track wheelset off my track bike.

Beautiful condition vintage 36H Campagnolo Record Pista High Flange Hubs, 15T Campagnolo sprocket + lockring and rare grey Campagnolo "Ypslion" aero profile sprint rims. Also included are 2 Specialized "Turbo R" 700 x 19c tubs. No braking surface (and obviously never seen a brake), and never used outdoors.

The wheels run beautifully, and are in tip top condition. Perfect for that vintage build. PM me if you want more details.

Sounds like you got a bargain there - they're worth quite a bit more, especially as ypsilons don't come up very often.

anyway, price drop to £175 before I stick them on the 'bay.

Not really, pretty average price. Most people just over pay for things they have a perception are rare and sort after.

I paid £110 for a pair of similar rims (clinchers) laced to some nics suzue hubs.

These do look nice tho. I'd snap them up if not tubs. Good luck

For some reason I would have thought vintage campag is worth more than an extra £15 over the miche/mavic ones you're selling for £85? Maybe it's just me.

My case- I sold a pair of fully repolished and rebuilt Campag large flange 36's, tied and soldered onto shiny Mavic rims, with Conti Sprinters on them for £80, I had only one taker, but they did sell.

no choice but ebay where people will pay silly prices i'd say.
