Picked up what I thought was some 75s on eBay for 70quid (second hand, extremely good nick), but the logo looked different and it turns out they're Grand Mighty's instead.
Bit of Googling reckons they're better forged than 75's but suffer from 'deliberate flex'.Not had a chance to ride them yet, but has anyone experienced the flex, or have any more info on them?
The 'deliberate flex' is a pro level thing. If you are not a pro, you will not notice it.
The flex is design to smooth out the very slight pedal speed variations of top kierin riders. If you are not putting out over 1800watts (and if you don't know whether you are or not, then your not) you will not notice any difference.
Good buy!

Well they're definitely an improvement from the BLB shop cranks I'm using right now. I was just intrigued and wanted a bit more info on them.
Stoked I got them that cheap though! -

These?
http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=22454Them's the ones. And that's what I was reading about the flex.
To be honest, as Gizmond said, I doubt very much I'm gonna notice it unless I'm tanking round a track which I won't be. -

How do the Grand Mighty compare to the Dura-Ace 7710 cranks? Also, what bottom bracket would I need to obtain in order to use the Grand Mighty on the road?

I have a Phil with my Gm's.

How much difference is there between sug75s and DA 7400s ? I figured they look similar but thats probably it :s

Not too sure on the manufacturing processes involved, but the missus has Sugino 75's, and I have DA 7600's as well as Sugino GM's. With her 75's she runs a standard Shimano BB, I have a 75 BB with the 7600's and the GM's are currently bolted to a Phil.

i will tell you that 75s are the stiffest crank i've been on. might be partly the frame i'm riding them on too. stiff fuckers.
