Freecycle: Various old cycling shoes, sizes 42-43

I've got three or four pairs of semi-knackered cycling shoes knocking around, and I'm reluctant just to bin them. They're mostly rather worn, but might do for someone who's trying out SPDS, or just wants something they can knock around in without being too precious about them. They include:

2 pairs of Shimano MTB shoes, both with SPD cleats GONE
1 pair of almost new Nike lace-ups, no cleats GONE
1 pair SIDI Dominators, SPD cleats GONE

(I might want a little bit of cash or beer for the SIDIs - I only wore them for 8 months, and ended up replacing them when they got too baggy. The rest I'll practically pay you to take off my hands.)

haha, sorry. they might be a little too big for my hobbit feet, so there's always a chance...

They're a size 43 Mega (extra-wide), and I believe they've stretched a bit. They're currently in Norf London, otherwise I'd bring them along to Souths tomorrow, but I'll try and make them available somewhere for trying on. Unless you'd like to arrange a viewing in Walthamstow...

Id like to try out some bike shoes, a pair of these could be perfect. I think a 42 could be right.

I imagine they'll be a lot of demand for the Sidi's (obvious first preference) so Ill be happy to go for a set of the shimano's - whichever set is the snuggest fit.

Ill need to trouble you with posting, but ill be very greatful. And you can do it whenever you want.

I will be butchering them into a pair of clipless trainers, so the condition doesn't really matter.

If the Sidi's fit me, and you don't mind stopping into BC I'd happily trade something from the shop. Or cash. Or beer. Or all three.

Right, I've tried them all on, and the lace-up Shimanos are the biggest - I reckon about a 43. The other Shimanos and the Nikes are about a 42, the Nikes being a slightly snugger fit. (This is all approximate.)

So that means the snugger Shimanos (the velcro ones) go to deadly_fanny_pack (though, if you're interested, the bigger ones are in better nick, and the smaller ones might be better for spaghettihoops to butcher, since they're not as substantial, and have a couple of holes already - though, since you have first dibs, it's your call).

I'd rather not post if I can avoid it, so Nhatt has first dibs on the SIDIs - however, I'll be very surprised if they fit (surely no girl could have feet bigger than mine?), so Kelvin might still be in with a chance.

JD gets the Nikes (if still interested after seeing the photos).

Spaghettihoops gets whichever Shimanos deadly_fanny_pack rejects.

I think Snowy is before me in the line up of sidis, but I'm happy to be in the que behind him.

So, if I can manage to retrieve the SIDIs from north London by Tuesday, and coordinate a meeting with Kelvin, they're his.

This is getting confusing. I feel I'm going to offend someone any moment.

How about this, I'll try them, they probably won't fit, and I'll be in Brighton on Thursday and can bring them with me.

Works for me. I've arranged for them to be brought down from Walthamstow tomorrow, so someone will probably drop them off with Nhatt before closing time (that's if you're working tomorrow?). And after that they're out of my hands...

I just went and checked my mistakenly bought too big bike shoes, and guess what ? They are 42 aswell (I thought they were 44)

The Nikes are the ones without cleats - could you fit Look cleats to them, or are they incompatible?
