I'll be tucked up in a nice hotel bed in France, so I'm out.

Interesting. Would like to see the route first though. I'm already riding to Brighton in the day, so the missus would be royally pissed off though.
edit found this http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/downland-nocturne
although the elevation profile bit is bust.

Thanks, Sam. Worked for me--go to 'Show' in the top left hand corner, hover, select 'Elevation Profile'.
Here it is, anyway:

^ That looks like a pretty stiff climb to start with.

I'd love to do this, by the way--I'm just not sure I can get my act together before next week-end. I certainly wouldn't be able to go on Corny's Brighton ride.

The elevation is still bust. Trust me Oliver, it is not that flat.

Oh, I see--I didn't realise that what you meant was that what it actually showed was wrong.
I imagine a few on here would be interested in this, although a week's notice isn't helpful;

Starting and finishing in Canterbury, it's a 120 km sportive in the dark. Start is at 10:30 p.m. next Saturday. It's limited to 60 people so you'd better be quick if you are interested.
